MMS Fall Collection Overview and Exciting Contest!
September 26, 2008

An addiction to glamor and fashion symbolizes the new MMS collection greatly. Featuring compelling and state of the art textures in each and every new creation, Minnu Palen and Thora Charron have completed another jaw-dropping collection that is sure to make its way in “Second Life textbooks.” The 2008 Fall Collection at Minnu Model Skins and Cachet has presented new talents and new additions to Second Life Fashion. Valena Glushenko, a good friend of mine, has joined the Minnu Model Skin team as a partner designer, showcasing her wondrous jewelry. Minnu and Thora, also good friends of mine have turned the tables in their design-making. New styles and textures are being captivated and used in their clothing line at Cachet. New and outstanding concepts, such as freckles (only seen since the gen. 3 collection) and glossy lips are being utilized for the skins at MMS. Realistic looking hair textures are also being used at the hair store at MMS. For the first part of this blogpost I would like to show several pieces of art/clothing that Minnu and Thora have created. They are absolutely delicious and worth every little pixel sweat Minnu and Thora accumulated while working on them. I was full of school-girl glee when the outfits were dropped on me. I quickly placed then on and was extremely stunned. My pixel mouth couldn’t move, maybe even my Real Life one.. Shown on the first picture on the top left is the Deborah Dress and Anya bag, both from Cachet. Also shown is the Sill Hair in ginger and Helsinki skin, my most favorite skins out of the whole collection, in pale. This dress is unexplainable, it’s simple amazing. The whole bubble skirt placed with a simple black belt and the sculpt top was a phenomenal idea. I finished off the look with some jewelry from Earthtones and a ring from Fuse. The second look on the top right is the Nicolette Dress. Nicolette is a classic cocktail dress that should be included in every fashionista’s closet. The wide variety of colors of the Nicolette Dress is bound to have every sort of fashionista satisfied. The look was paired off with the Nicolette Earrings from the jewelry department at Cachet, designed by Valena Glushenko, as well as the Wilma hair in Jet from MMS Hair and Johannesburg skin in dark from MMS. This coordination is an original, friday night out cocktail dress look.

Above is the Theo blouse in peach from Cachet. It can serve as an excellent around the office blouse. Accessorize the outfit with distinctive pearls from Valena’s department and a short crop hair, and viola, a wonderful simple look is presented for you.

Not only does this collection feature high quality clothing and hair, but it also features new accessories! I was so pleased and satisfied with the new bags released at Cachet. They even include AOs, an addition I feel which was very innovative. These poses and stands are also very elaborate and high quality. Something I really enjoyed about each and every bag released at Cachet were the remarkable textures used on each bag. Whether it is leather, florals, or reptile skin, Minnu and Thora managed to captivate the true essence of high fashion handbags. Before I officially end this blog post, I think it’s time for a little contest Minnu and I arranged! Here are the directions:

Hair Fair Post #1, Review: MMS Hair
August 24, 2008
Hey everyone! This post would be the first out of many blog posts I will be writing about relating to the hair fair. I will mainly be reviewing hair, but, I will also post some events and fun activities that pop up throughout the hair fair of 2008. My first review contains some of the most glamorous hair throughout the grid at the moment and of course, they are from my most favorite designer brand in all of SL, Minnu Model Skins (MMS). Thora Charron, creator of the hair at this year’s hair fair, as well as designer of male skins at MMS, has out done herself yet again! These hairs truly resemble typical real life styles. Thora even said to me herself, she likes to base her avatar and her creations off of RL trends. These relaxed, yet very stylish wigs take a whole new trail in the MMS history, and possibly are the beginning preview of an upcoming major release in a few weeks @ MMS. Shown below are some of the hairs MMS released at this year’s hair fair:
Shown above is the Aradia hair, a very simple flat-ironed hair. It also reminds me of a style harajuku girls in Japan might do with their hair.
Shown above is the Ribbon hair, a classic up-do hair with an iconic headband.
Shown above is the Electra hair, if worn properly, it’s destined to make you the centerpiece of any event.

Review: Sin Skins
August 11, 2008
While I was vacationing in Greece, Portia Sin, the mastermind behind Sin Skins, sent me a review copy of her new skins. As soon as I got on SL I couldn’t wait to blog about these skins. When I tried them on I must admit that I was quite surprised; the glossy lips, pastel cheeks, and sketched-out eyebrows were something I never seen her create in her previous lines. However, the skins seemed to fit perfectly on my shape and the makeup choices were outstanding. Here’s my favorite skin tone: (Skin tone 2)

You kissed a girl? that’s couture
June 16, 2008
If you guys haven’t heard of the top-hit music video around this world at the moment I would suggest watching it NOW.
Katy Perry does it again with her newest hit single: “I Kissed A Girl.” The whole moral behind the song is kind of random, but I think the catchy beat and “randomness” of this song actually appeals to many people, like myself
. As I was so inspired by this unconventional song >:P, I decided to do some styling in Second Life reminiscing the outfits that were shown in the music video.
As all of you heard, Maitreya and Dutch Touch have collaborated together and formed a distinct clothing line of women’s apparel in SL: ** M * A * ii * K * I. What better outfit to use than the “Poof&Puff” dress in champange! Doesn’t it look like Katy’s dress in the beginning of the music video? To finish the look I added the amazing Ziggy shoes from Tesla and accessories from *Honey Kitty* (a super cute Japanese store).
To show some more body, I decided to choose another outfit: The Marquise Lingerie Set from Casa Del Shai. A sleek, chic, and sexy look, the Marquise Lingerie Set delivered that “slumber party, girls night out” look that I was aiming for. I compiled it with some ferocious armidi hair, the athena shoes from Tesla, jewelry from Miam Miam, and a wonderful fully scripted animated fan from Mika.
