If you guys haven’t heard of the top-hit music video around this world at the moment I would suggest watching it NOW.
Katy Perry does it again with her newest hit single: “I Kissed A Girl.” The whole moral behind the song is kind of random, but I think the catchy beat and “randomness” of this song actually appeals to many people, like myself :-D. As I was so inspired by this unconventional song >:P, I decided to do some styling in Second Life reminiscing the outfits that were shown in the music video.
As all of you heard, Maitreya and Dutch Touch have collaborated together and formed a distinct clothing line of women’s apparel in SL: ** M * A * ii * K * I. What better outfit to use than the “Poof&Puff” dress in champange! Doesn’t it look like Katy’s dress in the beginning of the music video? To finish the look I added the amazing Ziggy shoes from Tesla and accessories from *Honey Kitty* (a super cute Japanese store).
To show some more body, I decided to choose another outfit: The Marquise Lingerie Set from Casa Del Shai. A sleek, chic, and sexy look, the Marquise Lingerie Set delivered that “slumber party, girls night out” look that I was aiming for. I compiled it with some ferocious armidi hair, the athena shoes from Tesla, jewelry from Miam Miam, and a wonderful fully scripted animated fan from Mika.

You know….recently I haven’t seen that much haute couture flowing around in SL. Despite the Chambre Du Chocolat show, *which I was in*, on “Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe,” I really don’t feel that haute couture has presented itself well in Second Life recently. So….instead of featuring a glam-rock train-flowing dress, I chose to show a skin I mean, how couture is this skin? This skin was originally made by the wonderful Ina Centaur for Earth Day, but I decided that my patriotism towards earth day really wouldn’t make a top-notch post :p As a result, I chose to do a little haute couture post for all you dying betches wanting to know what to wear. First thing first, wear nothing, only this skin which can be picked up at the *gulp* Freebie Shop at Skin City. Yes…I was shocked as well, this skin is way more valuable than a freebie. Then, when your skin has rezzed and blah blah blah, put on some poofy or slick black hair with some colorful bangles….and voila…your look for the day. Even though you might not want to go shopping around SL nekkie with only this skin on and a few jewelry, its great however for taking high fashion shoots. /me points above ^^. Hmm…its not everyday a girl in SL is faced with major sales on the grid. Must be my lucky day, because nearly all my favorite stores are having sales. What’s hot today? Aleri Darkes’ Quilla Tanks and April Jeans. Yes that’s correct, *AD*, as known as Aleri Darkes is having a MAJOR 50% off sale on all items ever created in her store. So I took advantage of this situation and compiled a very chic look a stylist in the backstage of a runway show would wear.
“Feisty” eh? lol I think the look duplicates how the typical stylist looks like in real life lol. Anyways smoochums, here are the outfit credits you guys were so dying to know

So, today, I decided to mix things up a bit differently, instead of placing a picture with an outfit I created and describing it, I will just place a picture of an outfit and provide you the sources. (Today I want to leave some more room from a very special place that made my spring even more jollier) Here I go:
To continue with what I was saying :P, yesterday I was strolling through some LMs in my inventory and I found one for a store named Sin Skins. Out of curiosity, I TPed in and to my surprise, there was a sale going on..all the skins were reduced to..omg 199L.. I took advantage of this situation and bought as many as I fancied, but for the purpose of not wearing out my fingers blogging about them, I will only show you 2 skins with optional freckle versions included.
Featured above are the Nimbus Skin Tone in Cursed Ruby Smoke from Sin Skins. As you can see, the skins are..well.marvelous! If you look very closely at the lips you can see each lining that the lipstick provides. Its simply outstanding! Although I prefer the regular skin tone (the one without the freckles), the freckle skin and brown hair together is a must this spring season. Also, regular face in the Nimbus Skin Tone goes great with Minnu Model Skins’ Messy Hair in platinum.
On to the more “pinkier” lips now:
I mean, just look at these skins..don’t they look like perfection! I don’t know, it might be the adding of the hair or whatever, but this makeup is like fall couture renovated into spring glamor. I just fell in love with the composition and makeup blush/tone of this skin. God bless Lolita Bellman for telling me where this marvelous hair is from, it makes the skin really stand out. Also, a great thank you to Portia Sin for really making my spring worth while, her skins are just amazing!

Hey Slsiders, Chantal here, and I have the biggest news ever! Coming out of a league of absense, =RAC=, one of SL’s most prominent skin/hair lines will be reopening today at 11AM SLT. Yes, that’s right, TODAY!! I was so flabbergasted that I nearly dropped all the attachments I was wearing :O *gasp*. But anyways, expect major changes to the new =RAC= store; one of the biggest changes is their name: =RAC= is properly known as Laqroki now. Along side with the name change, expect single skins! Yes! There will be: Single skins for women: 46 different faces, 8 skintones, 377 makeups and Single skins for men: 12 different faces, 5 skintones, 72 styles. Also, there will be some new hairstyles as well!

This show reflects around the carnivale theme, so, get ready for some unexpected twists and turns all seamed together with one big flexi skirt bow!
